Rain is a constant reality where I live. Everything stops when the sun shines because we so seldom get a beautiful blue-sky day that nobody wants to miss a second of it. It has now rained for two solid says without ceasing - unusual even for us. It has not stopped even for a moment. I'm seriously considering building an ark!!!!
But here is another advantage to being a Retro Wife - I don't have to go out if I don't want to! So while poor Husband is out battling the elements on his way to and from the office, Baby and I are tucked up in our cosy house, reading books together between chores. While he naps, I have time to bake and sew, simple pleasures that chase away the blues.
Tomorrow it may stop raining and we'll be back in a whirl of activity, but right now I am thankful for these slow, lazy days when we can take time to enjoy the little things :)
